    • I learned to play guitar with his songs. My roommate in high school and I learned together with song books. Fire and Rain, You’ve Got a Friend, etc. I loved the music in the 60s and 70s. Thanks. I have never tried to learn this song, but it has such great harmonies. ❤

      • You play? I was very inspired by Joni Mitchell,Joan Baez, Woody Guthrie, Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills,Nash. Neil Young, John Prine, etc. So many great singer songwriters back then! Do you still play?

      • Nice! Yeah, me too Judy Collins, although most of hers were written by others. What a beautiful voice. I think she is still around, right? I used to write songs as a teenager/young adult, but not for many decades. You still write songs?

      • I haven’t written poems or songs in a decade or so. My life has been so intense. When my son left my life the 3rd time, music left, too. I’ve also been putting all my focus on the shift. I know music will be a big part of my life post shift.

  1. What a beautiful and poignant song, Mary. Taylor was bit before my time, but I remember some of this stuff. In fact, with to a concert of his is Salt Lake a few years ago with a friend, But I have never heard this. Very appropriate for the climate in this country today, eh?

    • Hey Calen,
Yes, I love this song.It continues to be current, especially now. Not that it is that old, but certainly inspiring for today. Thanks for coming by!

  2. We like the same kind of music. This version is particularly beautiful, and James Taylor is my favorite all time singer/songwriter. So glad he’s still going strong. This song and “Gaia” give me goosebumps of the best kind.

    • I think we like a lot of the same stuff, JoAnna. Music being one. I know, I feel blessed that he is still going strong. He has been such a constant all these years! Here’s to those good kind of goosebumps!
