    • I’m so glad you saw this. I have told a lot of people about that time we were walking last summer and some huge (I thought beetle or hornet) something flew by. I asked, “what was that?!” You said, “I don’t know. A faerie?” Can’t wait to see you!

  15. Very magical photo Mary! Happy Thanksgiving to you!

    I just read this intense article about the real Thanksgiving….the Puritans and Pilgrams massacred the natives that were unwilling to be captured as slaves, killing women, children, men…and would celebrate in Thanksgiving…one massacre after another. The beginning of Thanksgiving we are taught is so different than the reality for the tribes who first lived on this US land.

    I had always struggled with Thanksgiving since adulthood, when I first learned about the reaility of how Thanksgiving started. But the last few years I’ve chosen to turn it into a gratitude thing and transform the atrocities that were it’s original premise.

        I’m so very sorry to read of your family’s loss over the Thanksgiving period. I hope you are (all) okay, and that the family find comfort, love, and support amongst each other at this time.

        One wonders now as to the little Fairy who lit up your world…perhaps she came to you before the weekend for a reason? 🙂

        I will return to take a long lazy stroll through Chaos and Calm 🙂 Time was not mine at the weekend to do with as I pleased, and other pressing matters away from WP took precedence.         Merlin took a sneaky peek at the photographs on Chaos and Calm, and tells me they are very special…the images of water, he said, were exceptionally good…but he asked me to check out the photograph of the low-flying seagull cresting a tipping wave. He was radiant 🙂 I think that image caught his eye…he simply loves to watch those magnificent aviators skim the surf and ride the wind like mavericks 🙂

    • Thank you, Michael! Yes, it was a wonderful family day. Sadly, we lost a family member on Saturday. Some family was with him through his transition over Thanksgiving. He left really beautifully, but he will be missed. I hope yours was good too.
