Balance

With Spring Equinox approaching, I can’t help but think about balance. Balance of dark and light. The one day of the year when darkness and light share equal time. All the world shares this equality of day and night on the same day.

DSC_0548 - Copy

I wonder in my own life, what is out of balance. Then I think of how this world is so much based on duality.  Dark/light. Good/bad. Yes/no. Up/down. Asleep/awake. Black/white. Above/below. Dead/ alive. Within/without, Us/them. Why do we do that so much? It is what our egos know. Ego divides all experiences into good or bad. They learn early how to survive. What is acceptable/not acceptable? Do people see me (or the image of me) in a good light or bad? Does my ego perceive the world as bad or good? Trustworthy or not? What beliefs have I formed along the way that make me perceive through certain filters?

As I let go more and more, of ego perception, I notice when it is present. I notice when I judge things as bad or good. Coal bad/solar good. Monsanto bad/7th Generation good.

On this day of equal light and dark, I want to explore balance.

As always, I go to Nature for answers.

I was hoping to see my first lizard of the season. Ah, there he is!  An older one. Very cautious, but I talk him out from beneath a stone and we have a chat.

DSC_0199 - Copy

Lizard says, “Close your eyes.”  I don’t. He does pushups, saying, “come on now, do you want to know what I have to say or not? Now close your eyes.”

I do, but just for a second. I open my eyes. Dang! He opens his like he knows I opened mine. Pushups again. “Slow your breathing,” says he.

Ok, my eyes are closed. My breathing is slow and deep. I feel the warmth of the sun, hear the chirping of a robin, and smell the fragrance of pine. I try to remain neutral. Suddenly, I find myself underground in a tunnel. Dark. After a while I come out at a lake. It is a lake I know from when I was a child. I loved it there. It is a place of Light. I look over and see Lizard sunning himself. He opens his eyes, and I swear he smiles and winks. We remain there for what seems like an hour, talking about balance between dreamtime and awake time, and how they can be one and the same. We go back through the underground, back to the original rock. I open my eyes. He does too. We hang out for a little bit. “You can do this anytime, you know. Switch realities. Have a little vacation”

Looking at my watch, only 7 minutes have passed on the clock!

DSC_0381 - Copy

I look up. A Red-tailed Hawk! It cries out to me, “Be in the big picture. See far.” She circles me, blessing me. She balances my energy field. I am humbled, and thank both Lizard and Hawk.

I look down. Lizard has gone. I look up, Redtail is gone.

Tancha relating with Magpie

We have horses grazing in our field over the winter. They are both strong and sensitive. I know I have a wild horse inside me. Sometimes I have to contain her wildness, collect her canter. Sometimes I let her run, experiencing thrill and joy. I’ve had to learn that balance over my lifetime. Balance work/play, power/sensitivity. Leading from the Heart, horse speaks of balancing adventure and patience.

DSC_0037 - Copy

I don’t see them but a sound reminds me of Prairie dogs, who live near here, and are out of their underground, into the light already. They balance dark and light. They tell me, “bring together what is above and what is below. Be alone and be with others. Take care of yourself and of others. Understand what is conscious and what is unconscious. Look into your own unconscious and the Collective Unconscious. Meet others there. Be one with them.”

Thank you prairie dog, you beautiful little creature.

DSC_0106 - Copy

Magpie is intelligent and wiley.  They speak of using knowledge in an artful and clever way. Communication is key. Often in the summer, I enjoy meditating outside – but then, “Neeeer meep meep. Boopboopboopboop, whistle, whistle meep meep meep. Dooleeleedo.Meep!” Humorous sounds make it hard to concentrate. They say,” Balance fun and work. Don’t believe everything you think. Light and Dark. Black and White. Everything in balance – even balance itself needs to be in balance with not balance as the black in my feathers are refracted by light into green, blue and purple. Our nest have a roofs. Above/below.”

I see 32 ducks in our wet field right now. They help navigate the waters of our lives with grace and balance. They put their heads under the water to eat, showing us to ground our emotions. And they sound like they are laughing. They play, turning over and over in the water and splashing around(duck post).

Oh, there is a Morning Cloak Butterfly! They are always the first in the spring, dressed in their black wings, adorned with lacey tan edges.

DSC_0410 - Copy

She has just had her pupal experience, her dark time. Being a caterpillar, they devour everything in their path. Then they build a cocoon. Julian, in his last post said that imaginal cells, which are in the caterpillar’s  DNA begin to take over. They resist it at first, as their bodies see these cells as foreign. Then they give in, and they are completely transformed into a butterfly, at which time they leave the cocoon and lightly flit and float on the air from flower to flower. I hope we as humans,  so very not in balance, get over our devouring stage soon, and transform and fly as we evolve into something different. As we become more and more awake, we accept the imaginal cells and become butterfly. Maybe the whole world emerges, leaving behind mass destruction and chaos. I love that! Imaginal. That is actually the scientific name! I love to imagine. Richard Bach said, “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly.”

I look at our wetland. It is in perfect balance. It is enjoyed by us, by deer, frogs, herons, kingfishers, raccoons, bunnies, fish, fox, elk, bear, ducks, geese, mountain lion, bobcat, porcupine and many other animals. Its balance lies with one animal – the beaver. It is the keystone species for the ponds.

Our keystone is Love.

At night, I hear Owl hooting. This one speaks of clarity of vision, and precise action. In its attunement to the harmony of life, Owl brings the two together in the dark. She is a messenger of secret wisdom.

These are the animals I saw or heard today, while thinking of balance and  stepping over stones.

My Higher Self knows ego quite well. Ego only knows of Higher Self, and only as an idea. There is a balance between ego and Self. As we work effectively within the ego to fulfill our spiritual curriculum, we transcend it, and remember more and more who we really are.  Ego brings up all old wounds we need to heal. Anything that disturbs our peace is an issue that needs resolving. Ego shows us our shadow. As Self grows and awakens, we no longer need ego and it will eventually disappear. It helps us with mental balance, as it shows us old beliefs and judgements, which we can let go of and open to new wisdom. It helps with emotional balance, as we let go of feelings of anger or bitterness – feelings that no longer serve us. We can balance the curious child and the wise elder within, the inner critic and the mature leader, the scared infant and the nurturing mother. This is how Authentic Self and small self can live in balance, until we transcend ego.

Living in the Now, we can use our inner compass – our Balance. Living in Balance with others – with all sentient beings, with all life, with all energy, with Gaia, and with Spirit – we can all know Unity.

In balance is the natural flow of life. Feel the flow. Be the flow. The more we are balanced, the more we find balance around us. Our Shadow is important to embrace, as is our Light. Find balance by grounding and attuning to Earth. Find equilibrium of body, mind and Spirit.

So with Equinox, may we be in balance. May we see where we are out of balance in ego, and find peace from our Authentic, or Higher Self.

The night after I wrote this, a gentle frozen myst blew from the east, dusting only one side of each tree with frost. DSC_0347 - Copy_01

  4. Beautiful post and beautiful pictures. I so love your observations of the animals and what they tell you via their symbolism. The conversation with the lizard is amazing. Also, the caterpillars and butterflies. I did not know that the imaginal cells are initially rejected as foreign. How many parallels there are to our awakening process.

  7. This is such a beautiful post, Mary. Mindful and meditative, it brought me a sense of peace. I enjoyed walking with you and visiting with the various animals. Nature has so much to teach us if we’re willing to learn.

I read somewhere once that we are never truly in balance (at least not in the way we think of balance) and neither is life itself. It’s more like a tightrope walker dance, swaying from left to right, and in this back-and-forth motion, we keep some semblance of balance (enough not to fall off). I think it was Osho who said or wrote that to be balanced in the center is to be still and stillness is death, so we should learn to be like the tightrope walker and weave our way from left to right and right to left, always passing through center, through the stillness, during this dance of life, and never thinking that left is better than right or right is better than left. Reading that changed my thinking on the idea of balance.

    Happy Equinox! 🙂

You make a good point, and one I agree with. Yeah, I probably spend a lot of time not even on the tight rope! Off on some tangent somewhere. 🙂 And yes, I want to be rid of judgements about right or wrong. Maybe balance is learning that what is just is.

      • Your coffee is probably much better than mine. It’s thoughtful, thought-provoking, and so in touch with nature. Besides — and don’t tell anyone — I don’t even know how to make coffee. I didn’t drink it for much of my life. I started about a year or two ago, and only drink a small amount before exercising or going on my walks. Since I don’t drink much of it and still don’t care for the taste (it’s starting to grow on me), my husband thinks it is in his best interests not to show me how to make it so I leave it to him. 😀

      • Indeed, the chaos around.. I suppose it has to be balanced by the.. peace within. In fact, that may be its very purpose, to “force” us to withdraw within us and find that ultimate inner harmony. And that.. while meaningfully reaching out for the other.. fellow human beings. 🙂 Thank you, Mary. Wishing you a beautiful week!

  9. Nature just exists. It lives in the moment. It doesn’t necessarily make judgement calls about each situation, but adapts and thrives. As you’ve shown, we too could live happier lives with a fair dose of balance.

    • Yes, we could certainly benefit with a fair dose of balance! Nature is having a difficult time adapting and thriving in the midst of our chaotic behavior. 10. For Balance; the keystone is ‘Love’ .The keystone idea of your blog on balance is brilliant by the way you brought out the elemental essence of opposites:” Yin and Yang” . Ego and Higher Self. Just like the pond and wetland’s keystone for balance is the beaver, so the Keystone for Balance of our body soul and spirit is Love. ‘Perfect Love, casts out Fear.’* My ego is all about fear. My Higher Self would then not have fear. My favorite messenger is Owl; bringing clarity of vision and precise action. That is exactly what I need for balance in my life right now, centered in Love.
Thank you Mary for your brilliant, uplifting blog and sharp, gorgeous photos. ❤ I Love You

  11. Mary, how grounding your words are, as if I just had walked that whole walk with you, and your writing makes me look at nature around me in a new way when I walk. Beautiful photos, I love the fact that you found the half-frosted tree right after you wrote this. We had not seen our first morning cloak yet this year. And thank you for the horse! ❤
And I agree with the ideas discussed in Julian's post. To what degree we are the sacrificial generation, that is whole other questions, and that probably puts most fear in us (or our egos), as we all feel it in our bones, that fear drives some to grab and grab and grab and others to cry in quiet desperation. Finding peace and thus energy for the work of good at the moment is the beautiful challenge. Thank you, Mary for your heartfelt thoughts. ❤

Thank you so much for coming by and saying such nice things.
Yes, I thought Julian’s post was interesting too. It gave me hope in some way. Maybe for me the hope is that we will stop devouring! That we will learn in our dark phase and then fly. I don’t know really what is meant by being the sacrificial generation. It is sad that that brings up fear and drives people to grab more or cry in desperation. I don’t know how it will all shake out or what will happen, but we are Spiritual Beings and can’t really be sacrificed. I totally agree with you that finding peace and thus energy for the work of good at this moment now is our beautiful challenge. It really is about the present moment, I think. Thank you Kristina. 🙂

  12. Such a delightful and insightful article, Mary, for which many thanks. I love the way you encourage us to allow nature to guide us – not by intellectual means, obviously, but through its many exemplars of harmonious living. We have much to learn – or should that be ‘unlearn’? – from nature, being both blessed and cursed with the faculty of concept manipulation. I think the curse mainly comes in creating the concept of self-entity and that entity having access to cognition, thereby becoming egoical i.e. cognising itself and so coming to believe in itself. We (as awareness) inhabit it, and the whole dance of subjectivity and objectivity is then taken as actuality rather than the mind creation it in fact is. Let us get back to the simplicity of what is truly actual, and resting in nature seems a very fine way of doing so. With gratitude and respect, Hariod.

    Liked by 3 people

    • Hello Hariod. So nice of you to come here and comment so insightfully.
Yes, I think unlearning might be the better word. Nature helps us unlearn what we made up mostly when we were younger. It breaks down the filter of perception through which we see, that is mostly inaccurate. We did create ego. I guess that is a curse that we created self-entity in the first place, but for me now, I don’t see it is necessarily a curse in that it brings up for us experiences that we had. In trying to understand that experience, as a child (or perhaps even from a past life) we made up a story about it (often pre-verbal). Ego brings those things up for us, so that we might heal them and get rid of that false perception once and for all. When these things are healed, we will no longer need ego, and we will transcend it. For now, I guess I am grateful when it shows me I have something to heal, because now I have tools to heal whatever comes up in a healthy way – not from the perception that was made up long ago.
I believe this is a beautiful school room we find ourselves in. We are remembering who we really are, within a physical body, and if we can really do that, we won’t even need a body anymore. We can simply be awareness. In the meantime, resting in nature seems a fine way of getting back to that simplicity, as you said.
Didn’t mean to run on, Hariod. You always bring up such good points! Thanks again for your comment.
      Have a beautifully simple week.

  13. What a beautiful post. I love the picture of the horse and the magpie. 😀 Magpies make me crazy, though. They LOVE to mimic our cat! Balance… That’s something I need to work on more. Lots to think about in your post there, Mary. {{{Mary}}}

    • Hey Calen!
That’s funny about magpies and your cat. My last dog and the magpies had a very funny relationship – sort of a love/hate thing. They would dive bomb her and she would jump up trying to catch them and they would just laugh at here. They would entertain each other often.
Balance is such a nice place to be. I wish I was in it more, but like the magpie feathers, even balance needs to be balanced with unbalance. At least, that’s what I like to think. I do find I know when I’m out of balance these days, and can get back fairly quickly. I want to be more that way. Feels better.
Thanks for coming by. Always wonderful to see you! Thanks for the warm hug.

  16. A wonderful meditation on balance, Mary. This time of year always reminds me of the yin/yang of life and how the choices and the thoughts we think always have an opposite side to the them. If I’m here, I’m not there and visa versa, but knowing that wherever I am is right where I am supposed to be!
I am thrilled to be spilling over the edge into the warm seasons ahead, I love it when it is all spread out in front of us like a delicious banquet!

Yes, it is really an interesting time of year physically and metaphorically. We are right where we are supposed to be in this moment. I would, however, rather be away from this wind! March and April are windy for us. Today it is only 25 mph. Even that is too much for me. It gets up to 80 frequently. I think if I had a windmill I would like it better. haha. I look forward to nice gently breezes and warm spring days, which usually start mid-May. Well, April has some nice days. It is sort of a tease month. Enjoy your banquet!!

      • Sounds like a windmill might be a good investment for you! My sister lived on a ridge where the winds would just rip through all year long. The drifts in winter were crazy with one side of the house clear to the ground and the other up to the windows and the front door blocked.

  20. Hi Mary ❤

As always, it was a fabulous walkabout with you.
You have a way of telling a story that the littlest child in me (of course there's more than one!)
finds magical and delighted at every bend of word and image, each paragraph and image. I like the way one flows into the other. I giggled when I saw the duck's butt: a great image for lunar eclipse releasing, btw! My dad used to say, "don't let "it" bother you, like water floating off a duck's butt."

I melted with the vision of the prairie dog, sweet and tender is our true nature. We are all of it, and don't forget the middle path! 😉 Last night I was seriously considering a Mooji silent retreat. So I suppose I set the seed out for it. Not now, but yes, maybe sometime. There is silence within me, and it's pure bliss. As we watch the seasons pass, we grow more and more aware of the ephemeral, illustrious, delicious…moments, for they keep arriving evermore! In the middle of every picture, where there was no beginning nor end, no distinction nor hair's breadth. Not a speck, a spot, or a dot…

We are so fortunate, so very fortunate. Happy Vernal Equinox to you. Blessed be and merry meet and meet again…

I have just found Mooji. Hariod turned me on to him. Seems really genuine and up there with the greats. The video I saw was of him and a participant laughing. I loved it. I want to listen to more of him.
Yes, those moments! They keep arriving.
We are fortunate, Ka. We really are.
Thank you so much for coming here and talking to me. Blessed be and merry meet and meet again.
      Aloha,
      Mary

      • Hi Mary,
Yes, Mooji, I’ve been listening to him on and off since about 2010. I’m pretty sure we have other bloggers “here” (WP bloggers) who have been to his retreats, but I couldn’t name-drop them. This is one that I posted in 2014 in case you are interested: http://fiestaestrellas.com/2014/11/07/the-play-of-existence/ I wouldn’t say that this was my favorite, but it was applicable to me at the time. Let me know if you have any favorites. Yes, I do believe, come to think of it, that I have a favorite recording of one of his Satsangs, and he is laughing; and I am pretty sure he is primarily laughing and so is the person he is talking to ~ Hariod is pretty awesome, too, huh? I’m listening to “Mooji – Just Realized I`m A Fraud – Laugh It Off.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gKwJerKlMI Have a wonderful day…filled with overflowing laughter (just like you once wished me ~ and I return the blessing to you). Bwahahahahahahahaha
So much love to you, my friend Mary,
        Love, Ka

I am having a wonderful day. Thanks for the good wishes. Laughter is such good stuff! I absolutely love to lose control in deep laughter!
Bwahahahahahahaha!!! Thanks for making me smile so big today, Ka.

  21. What a joyous journey you take us on, Mary. I love the nudge to not believe everything that we think, and the recognition that somehow there is a balance between balance and not balance. That hit home.

Balance can sometimes seem to be about the cessation of uncertainty and mystery, almost like a clever substitute for control. But the appearance of life itself is predicated on the promulgation of incredible imbalance… The sun and the emptiness of space are a profoundly powerful imbalance, and at the same time their tug and pull results in a stable “imbalance”. And life makes a living in between… Between the sun and space, poised just so, seemingly out of balance and yet exploring a freedom the whole universe has seldom known…

Such great forces at work to allow for even the simplest moments we experience…

And I always love the lizard communing! Inviting us to glide between worlds, to ride the invisible currents…

    Love
    Michael

  22. Hey Michael,
Thank you for this comment. Thanks for loving the lizards. They have been good friends over the years.
Yes! Don’t believe everything you think. It’s amazing to me how many people do. You should hear magpie talking. They are hilarious. They remind us of so many things having to do with balance and not balance. I really like what you said about balance sometimes being a clever substitute for control. I can totally see that!. The cessation of mystery and uncertainty. Although, I have to be in a pretty balanced state inside to see the mysteries, I think. But balance for me…maybe a better word would be centered in my heart. Then the mysteries and sitting in the silence comes naturally. I like that term you used, stable imbalance. It says a lot, and feels good. I love your sentence, ” And life makes a living in between… Between the sun and space, poised just so, seemingly out of balance and yet exploring a freedom the whole universe has seldom known…”
Yes, for our most simple moments, what forces have to come together? Being open to all of that is mind blowing…in a good way. 🙂 Have a mind blowing day, Michael, in a really good way.
    Love,

Yeah, he is a sweet horse. I looked out the window, and this other horse, a white one had all four legs spread apart. On each leg, about half way up was a magpie! I took a picture, but it didn’t turn out. I guess they were eating bugs. He looked very relaxed.
      Thanks for your comment, Melissa!

    • Hey Sandy!
Thank you so much. Yes, spring is so nice. We have some things that are blooming. The strong ones that can stand cold and snow. We are supposed to have snow all weekend. Are you going to get a storm soon? Thanks for reminding me about the painting. It’s an old card I’ve had for years. I don’t know who did it. I want to write that on the caption. Maybe someone will know.
      Thanks for your comment, Sandy.

      • Mary it was beautiful here today. I stayed the night in Lake Placid and my hotel balcony looked out at Mirror Lake. This morning I took a nice walk around the lake before my training. It looks like sunshine for the weekend. Spring is on the way:) Stay warm!

  25. Hey Mary 🙂

How are you doing? Hoping all is well within the wetlands, forests, woods and meadows of your little slice of Eden 🙂

Lovely to be back here and wandering another beautiful trail with you in the NM sunshine. As always you’ve served up a feast of words and images to inspire the heart, elevate the spirit, calm and centre the soul, and ‘chill the canter’ of our life’s endless rush. 😀 It seems each time you step through your door, life becomes an adventure, a story you tell with such depth of feeling and relatedness that it is easy to fall within the spell of your words and disappear into the enjoyment of the wilderness with you….perhaps that is why I stop for a while and relish the many flavours to be found in wandering. Equally, your words are poignant and expressive, and I enjoy lingering in the ebb and flow of your ideas and allowing my own thoughts to come and go as we step along the path. Your walks are very expansive 🙂

As you know, I am always engaged by your photographs, which pull me into your garden and bring the colours, sights and sounds alive. (The photographs on ‘Basking in Pasque Flowers’ are equally enticing…as is the craft with which the post is written 🙂 ) The first image on this post is especially appealing…I find it so cool and calming, expansive and yet intimate, harmonious and yet energetic.I feel the solitude of contemplative silence, and sense stillness momentarily resting within the dynamic flow of all things, as if life really did pause long enough for the photograph to be taken. It’s a really dreamy image, which speaks to me as might the Sandman who calls and lulls me to sleep and then leads me along pathways to meet the many other symbolic characters within your Wonderland. The dream-weaving lizard is such a cool little fella, and a great choice to be the local ‘dream-master’ 🙂

The horse always brings images to my mind of open prairies and galloping herds, of speed and agility and power and stamina….but Tancha looks pretty chilled…perhaps she is living in the moment and adoring the unbridled freedom to just be. Prairie doggy-doo is a cheeky looking chap, but so cute (lol) who in conversation offers very bright and wise counsel….he or she makes the perfect Hermes. Magpies, I adore anyway, and thought the ideas you presented on balance and no-balance were expressed perfectly by the lustre of their plumage….I now own 6 magpie tail feathers….and find it fascinating how so many rainbow colours can be absorbed within the illusion of the colour black. Each feather is coloured like an oil-slick, iridescent and incredibly beautiful. Fascinating also to read of ‘imaginal’ cells and the process of metamorphosis, (I may have to read a little more about that, so thank you for the information) as to the Beaver being the ecological keystone of the entire area. It is all to easy to forget just how inexplicably interwoven Nature is as a web of interconnected life, and how delicate the equilibrium state can be. I hope Beaver keeps beavering, and the stream keeps flowing to pool in the pond! 🙂 Looking at the wetland image….how high or low to normal early spring is the current water level at the moment?

As an aside, and talking about eco-systems…I was reading a newspaper article this morning suggesting there may be plans to reintroduce the Lynx in the UK. It was last present some 1300 years ago! Farmers are naturally concerned about losses to sheep and small livestock, but there main purpose would be to protect woodland areas by hunting deer. I applaud the idea of using nature to help resolve a natural problem (too many deer) and promote woodland growth, and know that where it has been tried before, their has been certain success. I recall watching a video highlighting the changing ecology of an area after the introduction of wolves, where their impact even stretched as far as altering the course of a river. Amazing. I can’t wait to see my first Lynx in the wild! 🙂

As I arrive at the end of your meditation, I hear the sagacious old Owl hoot her wise words of wisdom, and catch the last echo of a calling Hawk flying high up and far away. Curiously, synchronously, the local Owl, living close by here has just hooted her first evening call as she settles in for a busy night’s preying. The pigeons have flown, the crows have gone as well, and the doves have stopped scratching on the roof tiles above. If not for the squirrels who come and go under the eaves, all is quiet as a church mouse and the hatches all buttoned-down and closed. Perhaps the Owl should have stayed quiet! 🙂

Thank you Mary for wise words, beautiful images, and sharing the wonder of wandering within your dream.

Have an amazing week. Take care always and always in all ways for always 🙂

    Namaste

    • Yay!! Dewin is here! I love walking with you! That is so cool that you have tail feathers of Magpie! Aren’t they amazing?! They have that iridescent quality that some birds have where their feathers actually refract the rays of light into all different colors of the rainbow. I love how sometimes they look black, sometimes teal, purple, green. I have never seen a feather without the bird, though. That is a treasured gift they gave you. I once got a hawk’s feather while sitting alone in a stone circle in Scotland, out in the middle of nowhere. The hawk circled me as I sat, and along came one of its wing feathers right into my lap! I still have that feather. And once a great blue heron circled me (in NM) and a feather came down. The next day it circled me again. Same bird I know, because one of its wing feathers was missing.

I’m pretty sure our beaver didn’t survive the winter. There hasn’t been any cuttings or tracks or new material on the dams or lodge for a couple of months. Very sad. We have a “normal” amount of snow pack this year too, which is great. Without a beaver to maintain the dams, though, if we get any kind of heavy rain event, the whole system could disappear. Sadly and stupidly, there is a law against getting a beaver from someone who doesn’t want theirs. It is easier for Game and Fish Dept to kill them instead of trap them. So, now it’s a law. Grrrr. However, there is an underground railroad, so to speak, and we hope to do some clandestine capers, as soon as we find someone that wants to get rid of one. People either love beavers or hate them. Just like wolves and for you – lynx! That is really great! We have bobcats – little brother to the majestic lynx. I did see that video showing how wolves changed the ecosystem for the better in Yellowstone. I hope it works out for the lynx. More people hate wolves that love them here, so the killing of them has become great sport. It sickens me. It hurts my heart deeply. I love love love wolves. We have coyotes on our land.

I am so glad you came back here. I enjoy your visits so much. I’m always sad to see you go, but always left with such a sweet memory – not to mention having it in writing to go back to whenever I want! But I love our connection. Thank you for everything you said about my photos. That means a lot to me. I want to go over to your site soon and talk more about animation. It is so interesting. So, I will see you very soon.

Thanks again, Dewin. I hope you are having an amazing week as well. And you take care in all ways for always and always and always.

“I look up. A Red-tailed Hawk! It cries out to me, “Be in the big picture. See far.” She circles me, blessing me. She balances my energy field. I am humbled, and thank both Lizard and Hawk.”

    Happy Vernal Equinox Mary!

I wonder who that artist is in your post. Lovely pictures of yours!!! I wonder if you’ve gotten moisture yet, in 2017, and if it doesn’t only touch one side of the trees, but both sides, this year…. so much I wonder about…

    Love you,
