“Walking mindfully on the Earth can restore our peace and harmony, and it can restore the Earth’s peace and harmony as well.”        Thich Nhat Hanh

Eliza has invited me to participate in a 3 – day quote challenge, which I have gladly, though belatedly accepted.  In turn, I invite Sandy, from Guide to Awakening Your Inner Self , Debbie, from Spaceship China and Cate, from Local Travel Tips.  There is no pressure to accept.

Participant requests: Post an inspirational, uplifting quote for three consecutive days and invite three other bloggers to join you.

Anyone who would like to participate, please share your favorite quotes with us!

  1. Very true Mary! Thinking about and caring for all things outside of my own skin.
The peace and harmony of nature is Strong medicine indeed. I myself can only be quiet, observe, and feel the Joy that Nature’s harmony produces in me and hope I would not disturb;…and reflecting her Harmony to others, hopefully producing Harmony …
I LOVE the Shadows on the Snow! Beautiful Photo ❤ What a perfect picture of Peace and Harmony!
Harmony produces Harmony, produces Harmony , produces Harmony…

    • Thank you Jenny! Yes, I find Nature to be strong medicine indeed. Such healing in the harmony, joy and peace that you see and feel. I’m glad you liked the picture. Thank you.

  2. Thank you, Mary! I love how the red is contrasted against the snow. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for some snow here, although it was springlike warm and light, children zooming on scooters and birds birds everywhere. Beautiful symbiosis of us and earth all being one.

    • Thank you Kristina! I love the idea of us giving love to Mother Earth as she gives so much to us. I feel the exchange more when I am barefooted than in boots in the snow, but it is still so beautiful! So nice to see you here.

  3. Hi Mary. That photo is a stunning capture of the beauties of snow in nature and the shadows enhanced the scene beautifully. Love how the trees form an arc. Wonderful quote.

    • Thank you Trish! I really really miss you too!! Yes, I know you love him, and got to be with him in person. I doubt I will ever have that chance, sadly, but I love him anyway.
Big hugs and love to you both.

    • Thank you Val! Not quite as easy to feel the earth with my muck boots on, but still the exchange is there. Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comment.

    • I agree. Much better barefooted! But not in the snow, of which we have a lot right now. Thanks for coming by Cheryl.

  5. Thank you, Sandy. So glad you have some snow. You have not had your fair share this year. I know you love it. It is so beautiful. Shoveling isn’t that fun, but playing in it is wonderful. My dog likes to catch snow balls.

  7. Beautiful, refreshing photo! I haven’t seen that much snow in a long time. I bet snow lends itself to walking mindfully. But it might depend on whether you are used to it or not. I could walk mindfully in the sand instead of complaining (in my head) that it’s hard to walk in deep sand. We can walk mindfully on the earth whether in snow, sand, pine straw, or rocky trails.

    • Yes, absolutely – anywhere. I love best to walk in the woods barefooted, as it almost seems like something gets lost in the translation through rubber boots, but that is probably just in my head. I love walking on the beach with gentle waves flowing over them. I just love being outside, except in strong wind like we have today! Thank you for stopping by JoAnna.
      Peace
